Education

Perfectly situated as one of Canada’s premiere education destinations for international students, Toronto Heights provides students with the opportunity to study at any level—from secondary, college or university—at world-class public institutions, with the convenience of living minutes away from Canada’s largest city.

Simcoe County District School Board secondary schools, Georgian College, and Lakehead University offer students the best of a Canadian public education within the beauty of the natural environment of Simcoe County.

The Toronto Heights region also offers a unique experience in Canada for students pursuing their education while wishing to truly master their English-language skills. Within our smaller communities with a diverse population, you will have a greater opportunity (and the need) to speak, and be exposed to, English compared to a large urban centre.

Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) One of Ontario’s largest public education systems, the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) welcomes students from around the world to participate in full year and one semester programs. The number one priority for our dedicated and skilled team of teaching, administrative and support staff is to help all students learn, achieve success, reach their full potential and continue along a path of lifelong learning. With nearly 20 years of experience in international education, and 14 high schools participating in the SCDSB International Student Program, we are dedicated to supporting an inclusive environment in which both international students and SCDSB students are able to interact and thrive. International students may attend a SCDSB high school for either one or two semesters, while others graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and continue their education at college or university in Canada or their home countries.
